Dr. Shirly is a general practitioner who believes that every child wants to do their best. Thus, she devotes her medical pursuits towards maximizing the potential of all children.
After graduating from the University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Medicine, she underwent post-graduate training and mini-fellowship at several universities in the US: University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, University of Massachusetts, and Boston Children Hospital; focusing on training in neuro-developmental disorders.
She opened her private practice in 1995-1998; thereafter, she homeschooled her three children. She re-started her career in 2013 by conducting clinical observations with developmental paediatricians in a private practice in Singapore. She re-opened her Jakarta practice in 2015.
Dr. Shirly provides evaluations of children to help understand their development and behavior to determine what they need in order to help them reach their full potential and become successful socially and academically. Currently, she uses a screening program for early detection of developmental issues to enable early intervention for the child.
Outside the office, you can find dr. Shirly baking, eating, and traveling; if not occupied with homeschooling her sons.
